really looking forward to the opening of a new program they will be offering. in April of 2010.   The site is currently undergoing a major revamp and is targeted to re-open to the community and new members sometime within the next month or so (end of Oct, beginning Nov, 2011).  It is presently open to the public in limited format so I highly recommend you visit  to get a taste of some of the things to come.

If you aren’t presently a member, I’d recommend that you sign up with them if you are interested in applying for a position with their new Bounties writing service.  you are going to want to check things out when the new site launches.  It is going to be AWESOME!!!

The changes taking place are so original to the writing community, the owners of Shared Reviews have worked non-stop to put all the elements together, re-coding the way authors and the public will interact on the site,  with one another, their readers, and  internet traffic in general.  This is going to be a unique platform that offers writers a unique avenue and possibly,  more far-reaching awareness of your work.  You can still earn money but the ways in which you are able to do that, will be offered in refreshing and no doubt, addictive inducing, ways.

As soon as the new site is ready for visitors and new members, I’ll update here, including of course, many other reasons  to check things out for yourself.

SideTick – social networking with a twist or two!

A new player on the horizon – SideTick will pique the interest of anyone who loves Facebook due to the fact it’s got a lot of similarities.    This site seems to be fairly new out here in the netter world and will have some growing pains (I just read a post where someone is trying to use the TV channel but isn’t able to get it to work for them…although they admit they’ve seen others successfully posting so they wonder if it’s just them)…but as with all new things, there is of course, the very real possibility that tweaking and upgrades will be necessary until they find their footing. If you are an “explorer” or “pioneer” though, you’ll possibly want to explore this site and be one of the first on the ground floor because you can never tell where something will take you, right?

I received an invitation from one of my friends who always seems to find such great stuff!  Thanks Mia!  Side Tick as I mentioned is a lot like Facebook but with a few interesting differences.  You can earn “TickBucks” for things you do on the site like inviting others, completing Polls, adding content that others view and more.  You can post blog posts, comments, images, interact with others including , if you are a gamer who loves to create your own – share your creations with others, which helps build the community.  They have a number of games available currently but by the looks of it, they have room for many more 😉

The one area that really interested me was the area in which you can host your own “TV Channel” – which involves video on Demand that you can produce and “air”.  The one area that caught my eye was cooking – I know someone who could benefit from posting their work here – heck they could have their own Cooking show!  How cool.   This would be a great way to get your special interests in front of others –  you could devise a whole “show” around a topic you enjoy.  I have several ideas already, now I just have to figure out whether or not I want my mug plastered on videos 🙂  There’s still plenty of room for anyone who really wants to get involved in this aspect.

The layout is very similar to Facebook (which could be a negative especially if you don’t like FB ;).  You can sign on as a “Standard” user or as a “Musician” user – I guess that’s to promote musical artists and their work?  You can also go mobile with this site and update your status with videos and images from your cell.

Once a member earns T200,000 Side tick points the site states they will pay them a $100 “real world” bill – so by just interacting and doing things you’d do anyway, you can earn $100 for your time and effort – not a bad concept.

If you are interested in a Football Pool – apparently you can earn Tpoints and prizes here too – one fellow won a T-Shirt & 500 Tpoints.  I signed up about an hour ago and have earned T1530 so far for doing nothing more than setting up some things on my profile, voting for one Poll about which is my favorite season 😉 and just poking around.  So it’s an easy place to navigate and interact within to say the least.

The site isn’t hugely populated  yet from what I can tell but everyone has to start somewhere and this site could grow quickly simply because of the enticement to win/earn.  When you sign up you receive T1500 points, when you send friend requests and they accept you receive T1500 points, when your friends friends sign up you receive T500 points and so on, so it would appear that if you are a great social networker – this could turn into a lucrative effort for doing those things you normally do anyway!

If you think you  might be interested why not join up and give it a try…you can of course always cancel but in my opinion you can never have too many ways to network socially – especially if you have things you want others to know about!

I’ll add more information to this post as soon as I’ve investigated all the ins and outs because obviously, it being fairly new to the landscape, I can’t say whether or not there have been any payouts yet – but I’m willing to work with it and see where it goes.   You never know, this could be one of those ground floor opportunities that – provided they don’t fall off the $$ wagon as so many other sites seem to do, could be a reasonable way of earning some extra cash & prizes along the way.  Only time will tell – but you won’t know unless you check it out yourself!
